What is Chef’s day?

Every year, on October 20, we celebrate International Chefs and Cooks Day.

Chefs Day is considered a celebration of chefs and cooks around the world, who come together to celebrate and share their expertise, but also to impart their knowledge to younger generations.

Since the creation of “Chef Day” by world-renowned chef Dr. Bill Gallagher in 2004, Worldchefs has pledged to use International Culinary Day to celebrate our noble profession, always remembering that it is our duty to pass on our culinary knowledge and skills to the next generation of chefs, with the feeling of pride and commitment to the future.

Over the past years, Worldchefs in partnership with Nestlé Professional, have made a commitment to teach children around the globe about the importance of healthy eating, doing different events, filled with fun.

With your participation, we will make ‘International Chef’s Day’ better!

This year’s campaign theme is “How Healthy Eating Works”

Following the latest news about healthy eating, we want to show our children how healthy eating affects our growth, how important it is and how we should choose it.

International Chefs Day is a good opportunity to teach children about healthy food, leaving them to be creative with food. With the contribution, education and help from chefs, children will be able to create simple recipes with healthy foods, making them understand how healthy food works.

“Chefs Day” is being organized for the second year in a row by the ‘Albanian Chefs & Cooks Association’ and the’ Food and Welfare Association’ and will continue every October 20th.
